His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, this afternoon arrived in Malaysia to attend the Royal Banquet in conjunction with the Silver Jubilee Celebrations of the reign of His Royal Highness Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin ibni Almarhum Tuanku Syed Putra Jamalullail, the Raja of Perlis, which will be held at Istana Arau, Perlis.
Upon arrival at Sultan Abdul Halim Airport in Alor Setar, Kedah, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam was welcomed by His Royal Highness the Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra ibni Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail; Yang Amat Mulia Dato' Seri Diraja Syed Badaruddin ibni Almarhum Tuanku Syed Putra Jamalullail, Tengku Syarif Bendahara Perlis; Yang Amat Berhormat Tuan Haji Mohd. Shukri bin Ramli, Chief Minister of Perlis, and Yang Berhormat Tuan Muhammad Azmir bin Azizan, Member of the Perlis State Executive Council as Minister-in-Attendance. Doa Selamat was recited by Yang Berbahagia Sahibus Samahah Professor Dato' Arif Perkasa Dr. Mohd. Asri bin Zainul Abidin, the Mufti of Perlis. Also present to greet His Majesty was His Excellency Retired Brigadier General Dato Paduka Haji Mahmud bin Haji Saidin, High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Malaysia.
